Betws Inn luxury Snowdonia holiday cottage is located in the small village of Betws Garmon, mid-way between the picturesque Snowdonia village of Beddgelert and the Royal Town of Caernarfon. The area also offers massive scope for mountain biking with various tracks and trails including the Marin trail in Betws y Coed. For water sports fans the area offers kayaking and canoeing as well as both inshore and offshore sailing.

Caernarfon Castle, Harlech Castle and Conwy Castle are all between a 30 and 60 minute car journey. The area also boasts a number of National Trust properties including Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd.

Bodnant Gardens and the world famous Italianate village of Portmerion are within easy travelling distance.

Galeri in nearby Caernarfon is a theatre and arts centre with English and Welsh stage productions and exhibitions.

The area also has its share of myths and legends, and you can visit Gelert’s grave in nearby Beddgelert and the area is mentioned in various Arthurian legends. Narrow gauge railway fans are well served since the Ffestiniog Railway, Welsh Highland Railway, Snowdon Mountain Railway and Llanberis Lake Railway are all close by.

And of course the area offers a wide and diverse range of tourist attractions and facilities; from family themed days out such as Greenwood Forest Park, Gypsy Wood activity park and Anglesey Sea Zoo; to high ropes courses, paddle steamers on Llanberis lake, the National Slate Museum and pleasure flights from Caernarfon airport.
